Clara Austin, 89, passed away Nov. 14, 2006, in Wichita Falls. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, 2006, at Church of the Living God with Elder Millard Devine officiating. Burial will be at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Clara was born in Lafayette County, Ark., on June 21, 1917, to James Henry and Emma Martin. Clara was a devoted member and hard worker in the Women's Work Department (C.W.F.F.) at Church of the Living God. She was a very giving, supportive member and a Sunday School teacher.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Andrew Austin in July 2006.

Survivors include two daughters, Geneva Hobbs and husband Albert of Carson, Calif., and Josephine Hanes and husband Linwood of Bradley, Ark.; a sister, Melinda Hughes of Lewisville, Ark.; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
