Kaye Shoun Brobeck, 62, of Midway, died early Monday morning at the home of a daughter.
Mrs. Brobeck was a member of Midway United Methodist Church.
Her family stated, "She had mothered many foster children through the years for Holston Home for children.
"She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter. To know her was to love her."
Survivors include her husband of 45 years: Ikey Brobeck; three daughters and sons-in-law: Kasandra and Bobby Mathes, Kayla and Josh DeVoti, and Christy and Webster Booze, all of Greene County; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Jeff and Tina Brobeck of Washington County and J.R. Brobeck of Greene County; two stepsons: Mike Brobeck and his wife, Sherry, of Greene County, and Randy Brobeck of Johnson County; her grandchildren: Kaci Mathes, Logan Mathes and his wife, Ashley, Lance Brobeck, Noah Brobeck, Kacton DeVoti, Kambrim DeVoti, John Boatman, Steven Layman, Dawson Booze, Will Booze, Amber Brobeck, Sarah Brobeck, Wesley Brobeck and his wife, Lisa, Jessica Brown and her husband, Wesley, and James Allen Brobeck; three great-grandchildren: Taylor Brobeck, Caleb Brobeck, and Weston Brobeck; her mother: Bertie Lou Shoun of Morristown; one brother and a special sister-in-law: Tommy and Beverly Shoun of Atlanta, Ga.; two nieces; and her special friends: Anna Ruth Cansler, Billie Coakley, Bernice Munsey, and Anthony Carter, all of Greene County.
She was preceded in death by a son: Tim Brobeck; and her father: Tommy Shoun.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today and from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow visitation at 8 o'clock Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Jerry Holt and the Rev. Gary Norton will officiate.
A committal service will be held at 11 o'clock Thursday morning in Hamblen Memory Gardens. Family and friends will meet at 9:30 at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Daryl Hensley, Ramsey Cutshall, David Munsey, Ronnie Seay, Dwayne Casteel, and Johnny Mac Brown.
