           Mr. Pervis Alford Sr., passed away October 5, 2007.

           Pervis was born in Dillon, South Carolina in 1924. He moved to Akron, Ohio in 1951 and married V'Essie Anderson in 1980.

           He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Alford Patterson; father, Wesley Fullwood; brother, Leroy Alford; son, Thomas Anderson; and granddaughter, Keisha Watson.

           He is survived by his loving wife, V'Essie Alford; sons, Pervis Alford Jr. (Starlet), William Alford (Toni), Larry Alford, Terrance Alford, and 1st Sgt. Charles Anderson (Shara) of Kileen, Texas; daughters, Phyllis Williams (Paul), Vivian Watson and Sadie Jones; special granddaughter, Lisa Davis and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Nellie Colvin of Dillon, S. Carolina; sisters-in-law, Ernestine Traylor and Arenez Walker; brothers-in-law, Ernest McMoore and Alfred McMoore.

           Homegoing services will be held Thursday October 11, 2007, 1 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church 442 Bell St. Akron.... Interment Mt. Peace Cemetery....
