CROSS PLAINS -- Willard "Bill" Watson, age 84, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2006 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at the Pioneer Pavilion with Charles Copeland officiating; burial will follow in the Pioneer Cemetery.

He was born in Halyke, MA on June 10, 1922 to Henry B. and Alice Graw - Watson. He married Jo Veda Fleming on June 24, 1956 in Cross Plains, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Veda of Brownwood; 2 sons, Alton Watson and his wife, Anetta of Fritch; Billy Watson and his wife, Leigh Ann of San Angelo; a daughter, Julie and her husband, Rob Robinson of Henderson, NV; 5 grandchildren, Chris and Janice Robinson of Henderson, NV; Zack, BJ, Abby Watson of San Angelo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Memorials may be made to Heart of Texas Baptist Encampment in Brownwood, Texas; Pioneer Cemetery in Pioneer, Texas; Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in May, Texas.
