A Native of Opelousas and a resident of Lafayette for the past 49 years, Mr. Anslem was the son of the late Joseph Anslem and Azaline Lavergne Anslem, both natives of Opelousas.
He was a vetern of World War I, serving in the United States Army. Mr Anslem was a member of the Lafayette Barracks No. 2931, Veterans of World War I and military rights were conducted in his honor.
Mr. Anslem was also a Charter memer of the Lafayette Bowling Association and was a member of several bowling leagues. He was a member of the St. Genevieve Knights of Columbus, Council No. 3202.
Mr. Anslem was a retired employee of Borden's Inc. with 22 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Willie M. Brown Anslem of Lafayette, and four sisters.
