Ulis C. Arey, 66, a resident of Connecticut for 19 years, died Feb. 21 in Eastwood Hospital. He had been a resident for the past nine years. He retired in El Paso in 1979. He had been associated with the C. N. Flagg Co. n Meriden for some years; had owned and operated his own business, Tamarack Construction Co. in Wallingford for three years; and while in Bristol , owned and operated a welding business and worked with other gas line companies. He was a past member of the Pipefitters and Steamfitters Union Local 21 in Meriden; Union 256 of New Britain and Union Local No. 231 in El Paso. He was a member of Compass Lodge No. 9 in Wallingford; of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, LaFayette Consistory, SPRS, and Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of New Haven. Burial was at Evergreen East Cemetery, El Paso, with members of Lodges No. 1111 and No. 130 conducting Masonic graveside services. Rosary services from the funeral home were conducted by the Rev. R. Getz of St. Raphael Church. The Rev. John Paddenburg conducted graveside services.
