Mrs. Clyeda Hardin, age 93, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 31, 2015. She was a faithful servant of the Lord, a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sincere friend to all she met. Born in Washington County, Clyeda was the daughter of the late Lem and Julia Burns. The family eventually moved to Spencer County to the Little Union Community. At Little Union Baptist Church, Clyeda accepted Christ at an early age. After marriage and buying a farm in the Elk Creek community, she and her late husband moved their church memberships from Little Union Baptist Church to the Elk Creek Baptist Church where she served faithfully for over 65 years, having served as a Sunday school and Bible school teacher, and a nursery worker. Clyeda raised five children in the church. She was a music lover and encouraged her children to study piano which led her daughters to become pianist and organist at the church. Clyeda was a farmer, professional caregiver, talented homemaker, skillful gardener of flowers and vegetables, and custodian of Elk Creek Baptist Church for 40 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W.
