Genowefa MAKROCKI Beloved mother and grandmother to many, passed away in her sleep on July 14, 2008 after a long and fruitful life.
Born March 1, 1921 in eastern Poland, she emigrated to America in 1949 with her husband, Jozef Makrocki (dec), and children.
A survivor of Dachau and the Nazi slave labor camps, her legacy is one of love and forgiveness.
She is survived by her son, John Makrocki (Gail), daughters Ann Lidzbarski Dierda, Virginia Bowen (LeRoy), and Bernice Koelzer (Mike), as well as 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 22, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at 10 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to the care of People's Memorial Funeral Coop.
