(Special Correspondence) Viola, IL, Sept. 2, 1926 –
Funeral services for Lucius Burrill, aged 69, for many years janitor of the Modern Woodmen building in Rock Island, were held here at 2:30 o’clock this afternoon at the Methodist church. Mr. Burrill came here by way of Rock Island Sunday for a few days visit with relatives and died suddenly Monday morning from apoplexy.
He is survived by his son, Alfred, of Estherville, IA, with whom he had lived for the last few years; and one daughter, Mrs. Addie Landen of Gerring, IA.
Burial was made in the Viola cemetery. Rev. J. Lowe Shively officiated.
