She was a Sicangu Lakota. In 1868 she and her family moved with Spotted Tail's band to Dakota Territory to what is now the Rosebud Indian Reservation where she died. She was a descendant of Pierre Dorion, who was a guide for the Lewis and Clark expedition. She married John Baptiste Colombe about 1860.
