Biography

Mary Ann Murawski, 85, died Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe. She was born September 14, 1929 in Dwight Township the daughter of the late George and Veronica (Ignash) Lasceski, the youngest of 10 children. She and Charlie Murawski were married on October 25, 1947 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Port Austin. He preceded her in death on January 21, 1975. Mary Ann was employed by the Catholic Dioceses of Michigan. She worked for Father Richard Rabideau at St. Michael’s of Port Austin, St. Elizabeth’s of Reese and Sacred Heart of Birch Run. After her retirement she took nursing classes. She received her degree as a certified nursing assistant. She was a member of Annunciation of the Lord Parish, St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Port Austin and also a member of the Rosary Sodality. She was a very caring, kind hearted person. She was a very avid newspaper reader, reading any and all newspapers she could find from top to bottom.

Family of the Deceased

She was preceded in death by two sisters and their husbands, Gertrude (Frank) Polega and Sadie (Michael) Makowski; seven brothers their wives, Paul (Helen) Lasceski, John (Anna) Lasceski, Edward (Gertrude) Lasceski, Harry (Beatrice) Lasceski, Michael (Regina) Lasceski, Gordon (Anastasia) Lasceski, Raymond (Virginia) Lasceski and her nieces and nephews.


Funeral Arrangements

Funeral for Mary Ann Murawski will be on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the Annunciation of the Lord Parish, St. Michael’s, Port Austin. Visitation will be in the church from 9 am until the time of services at 11:00 am. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the Knoblock Funeral Home, Kinde. Mary Ann’s request was to Thank everyone who took such good care of her at Country Gardens, Pigeon and Courtney Manor, Bad Axe they did such a wonderful job taking care of her it really made her feel like she was at her own home. God bless each and every one of you.
