In"Pen Pictures", a book documenting the history of early St. Paul, Mn, Peter was noted as the first "Drayman " in the City of St. Paul. While Peter was laid to rest as Peter Patwell, Peter was born as "Pierre Patoile". He died at this home in this city at 7:10 o'clock Saturday night, and was buried Monday. The funeral services were held at the Baptist church, and were conducted by Rev. Gross, of St. Paul. Had he have lived till June he would have been eighty years old. He leaves a wife and the following children: Mrs. Hartley Benner and Miss Agnes Patwell, of this city, Mrs. Julia Douville, of Montique, Michigan, Pauly Patwell and Mrs. Barrett, of Stillwater and Gus Patwell of Minneapolis.

Mary and Peter also had a daughter named Melvina, born in 1870 in Wisconsin, and died between 1870-1875. I have been unable to find her death record anywhere
