Services for Mary Evelyn Boone, 78, of Abernathy will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Abernathy First Baptist Church with the Revs. Mike Wilcox, pastor, and Dennis Teeters, pastor of Lamesa First Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery under direction of Abell Funeral Home.
She died Saturday, Dec 16, 1995 in Lubbock's Methodist Hospital.
She was born Feb 22, 1917 in Humboldt, Tenn. She married Fred M. Boone on June 14, 1936 in Humboldt, Tenn. He died in 1979. She moved to Abernathy from Ringling, Okla. She was a member of the Abernathy Senior Citizens and Abernathy First Baptist Church. She was a former Sunday school teacher and a member of the choir.
Survivors include a son, Tom of Lubbock; a daughter, Joy Ellis of Tulia; two sisters, Daire Hicks and Mittie Walker, both of Humboldt, Tenn.; four grandchildren.
