Humboldt, TN - Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Daire Crosby Hicks, age 89, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 24, 2014, in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home with Dr. Ed North officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Humboldt.
Mrs. Hicks died Friday, November 21, 2014, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was born in Humboldt, TN, to the late Wilson L. Crosby and Mary Sanders Crosby. She married J. Gus Hicks on November 26, 1948, was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Humboldt and the Eastern Star.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John Robert Crosby and Thomas Crosby, and her sisters, Mittie Crosby Walker and Mary Evelyn Crosby Boone.
Surviving are her husband, J. Gus Hicks of Humboldt; her daughters, Judy H. Sowell and husband, Steve of Tylertown, MS, and Jennifer H. Arnold and husband, Allen of Mesa, AZ; her grandchildren, Stephen Sowell and wife, April of Magnolia, MS, and Jessica Ledsworth and husband, Tyler of Phoenix, AZ; and her great-grandchildren, Emily and Luke Sowell of Magnolia, MS.
Pallbearers to serve will be Frank Christie, Gary Caraway, Gary Robert Caraway, Bill Deloach, Barry Deloach and Robin Ellis.
