Evelyn Babbitt, 87, passed away Monday, June 2, 2014. Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Monday, June 9, in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Laurel Land Funeral Home. Evelyn moved to Fort Worth after marrying her love, Albert. She loved the Lord and attended church as long as she was able. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 47 1/2 years, Albert Babbitt; father and mother, Rollie and Marie Modglin of Eldorado, Ill.; brothers, Alvin Modglin of Temple and Harry Modglin of Eldorado, Ill. Survivors: Grandchildren, Jamie Owens, Clay Sneed and Danni Ledbetter; her close friends who were just like sisters, Claris Dorothy and Ikie Holloway; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
