Evelyn P. Schulist, age 85 formerly of Rosholt, died Thursday May 8, 2014, at Care Partners Assisted Living in Stevens Point.
Evelyn was born on June 22, 1928 in the town of Alban. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Frances (Kaminski) Knitter. She attended local schools.
Her marriage to Dominic Schulist took place on November 10, 1959, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church Rosholt, after the marriage the couple settled in the town of Alban where they farmed. Her husband Dominic died on October 2, 2005.
She enjoyed flowers, gardening and going shopping and out to lunch with her family.
She is survived by her brother-in-laws,Harry Bushman of Galloway and Ray Kenowski of Amherst. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son Jeffery, four brothers, Joe, John, Frank and Nick. Six sisters, Leona, Mary, Martha, Alice, Delores and Regina.
The family would like to thank the staff at Care Partners, especially Val and Amber for their loving care of Evelyn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday May 13, 2014, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church Rosholt with the Rev. Greg Michaud officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home Stevens Point is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials in Evelyn's name will be established at a later date.
