Alfred Joseph Gatch, 85, of Adams Run, SC, died April 2, 2014.
Mr. Gatch was born Thursday, October 18, 1928, in Wiggins, SC, a son of Joseph Durant and Mary Lucia Tavel Gatch.
He attended Adams Run Schools, St. Paul's Academy and was a wholesale assistant at Hollywood Wholesale Company for many years. Mr. Gatch enjoyed fishing in the lowcountry rivers and creeks.
Mr. Gatch is survived by two sisters, Thelma G. Muckenfuss and Betty G. Inabinett; two brothers, James N. Gatch and Herbert D. Gatch, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Adams Run Baptist Church, 8112 Highway 164, Hollywood. Interment will follow in Christ Episcopal Churchyard, Adams Run. The family will receive friends at the Church on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until time of Service.
