David, the third son and youngest of five children of Thomas Boyd and Abigail Webber was born on 5 March 1823 at Edgecomb, Maine. David married Elizabeth Jackson "Lizzie" Smithwick (1837-1890) on 5 February 1877 at Newcastle, Lincoln, Maine. They had one child born at Newcastle:
1. Abagail Webber Boyd (b. 1878; d. 1926) m. 5 Oct 1904 at Newcastle, ME, John Joseph Connor (1877-1927)
In 1880, David was 57 years of age and worked at running a Country Store. His wife Lizzie (40 years, b. ME) and daughter Abagail (1 year, b. ME) were living at Newcastle, Lincoln, Maine.
David Boyd died on 3 August 1895 in his 72nd year at Newcastle. He is buried in Saint Patricks Catholic Cemetery at Damariscotta Mills, Lincoln, Maine.
