He arrived in New York on the ship Barbarosa in June 1904 and traveled to Pittsburgh, PA in that same month. In February 1906, He arrived in Chicago.
He had made a friend of Bill Wengelewski during his initial journey from Poland. Bill suggested he write to Bill's sister, Waleria Wengelewska with the intent of marriage.
Waleria was from the province of Kowensk, township of Trawle.
