Melvin Tschetter

Melvin Tschetter, 61, Willow Lake, died early Saturday at St. John Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the First Missionary Church in Huron with the Rev. George Kacena, Huron, and the Rev. Kenneth Miller, Denison, Iowa, officiating. Burial will be in the Missionary Church Cemetery, Carpenter.

Friends may call at the Aaseth Funeral Home Sunday evening and all day Monday.

Melvin Tschetter was born March 26, 1915, near Carpenter to John and Lydia Tschetter. He attended rural school and farmed there. He was married to Emma Kleinsasser Oct. 3, 1937, at his parents' home. They farmed there until 1948 when they moved to Willow Lake. He was a mechanic in the Chevrolet garage at Willow Lake and was a licensed massage technician. He was a member of the Missionary Church.

Survivors are his widow, Emma, Willow Lake; one son, Norman M., Willow Lake; one daughter, Mrs. Kermit (Luella) Sensenvaugh, Kingsley, Mich.; one sister, Mrs. R.J. (Melina) Hofer, Willow Lake; seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
