Pauline Stubbs was born on 06 Dec 1911 in Soper, Choctaw County, Oklahoma to Cyril Stubbs and Mary "Pete" (Johnson) Stubbs. Pauline was the first of two children born to Cyril and (Mary) "Pete" Stubbs. Her brother was Frank Stubbs. Her parents had married in Oklahoma about 1909, and moved (back) to Texas sometime around 1917, when Pauline was about 4 or 5 years old.

- Pauline appears on 1920 Census in Hunt County, Texas with her parents, brother, and paternal grandmother. They appear as: Cyril F Stubbs (31); Mary Stubbs (28); Paulene Stubbs (8); Frank Stubbs (7); Mary Stubbs (50).

- She appears on the 1930 Census in Brownwood, Brown County, Texas with her parents and brother. (The family had moved to Brownwood in 1928.) Pauline attended the University of Mary Hardin - Baylor starting in the Fall of 1930. When she was home for Christmas, a fire started during the night of December 21, 1930, and Pauline was not able to escape. She was pulled from the fire by her brother Frank, but she was badly burned. She was taken to a hospital in Dallas, Texas, but was unable to survive. She died from burns and complications on Christmas Eve 1930.

Pauline Stubbs died on 24 Dec 1930 in a hospital in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas at the age of 19 years. Her death certificate shows Brownwood, Brown County, Texas. (Texas D/C #56842). She is buried at Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood, Brown County, Texas.
