Marion Woman Claimed After Short Illness; Funeral Friday
Miss Opal Adams, 27 died at city hospital last night at 10 p.m. from pneumonia. She had been ill since March 13. She was born in 1904 in Pike county to Charles and Doris Phelps Adams, both of whom are dead.
She is survived by her stepfather, Andrew Ralph; two brothers, Charles of Cleveland and Stanley of Marion; three sisters, Mrs. Ollie Mathena, of Layton and Misses Melda and Elsie Ralph of Marion.
The body will remain at the W.C. Boyd mortuary until Friday morning when it will be taken to New Fain where funeral services will be held at the New Fain church at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the New Fain cemetery.
