COMMERCE - Funeral services for Kermit Fleming, 71, of Commerce, are set for 2 p.m. today in the Jones Memorial Chapel in Commerce with Rev. Robert Ridley officiating and burial to follow at Brigham Cemetery near Campbell.
Mr. Fleming died at 6:30 a.m. Monday in a Commerce nursing home. He was born in Alabama on July 18, 1908, the son of William and Nancy Ethridge Fleming.
In 1934 he married Betty Lee Haynes in Cooper. He was a retired radio technician and a member of South Baptist Church of San Antonio, where he lived for about 15 years.
His wife precede3d him in death in 1971.
Survivors include two sons, Kay Miller Fleming of Livingston, and Randell Kermit Fleming of San Antonio, daughter Faye Bernadin of Dallas, brothers Bill Fleming of Waxahachie and N.A. Fleming of Greenville, sisters Willie Gray McMillian of Selma, Ala., Lucille Barnes of Dallas, Mary Knight of Las Cruces, N.M., Elba White of Dallas and Myrtle Jo Wiley of Gladewater, and six grandchildren.
