Bob was born June 23, 1938, in the Oak Creek hospital. He graduated from Oak Creek Union High School in 1956.

After graduation, he worked briefly in the coal mines near Oak Creek. He decided this was not for him, so he went to Denver to barber school. While there, he met Yvonne Hanson. They fell in love and were married in October 1958. After graduation from barber school, they moved to Hayden, and he worked in Craig as a barber. They moved to Craig and raised two children, Jean Ann and Andrew.

Robert was active in the Elks Lodge and also was on the Colorado Barber Board. He loved hunting, fishing, golf and football. While a barber, he got into vending machines, pool tables and fixing and filling jukeboxes. In 1982, after The Colorado Bar in Oak Creek exploded and killed his mother, Bessie Dallas; Bob and Yvonne decided to rebuild the bar. They moved to Oak Creek and operated the bar until November 1985. They decided to move to California, and Bob became a real estate agent and did well. They came back to Colorado in November 1995, and he worked in Craig at the Ford dealership until November 1996. At that time, he knew that California was where his heart was, so they went back, and again he worked as a real estate agent. He was told in 2001 that he had Parkinson's disease. He worked until 2004, when he became quite ill.

On Feb. 6, 2013, he developed pneumonia and was put on comfort care. He went to meet his Lord on Feb. 7, 2013.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Andy Meach; his mother, Bessie Dallas; his brother-in-law Walter R. Hunter; and his son-in-law Larry Fredrick.

Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Yvonne Meach, of Windsor, Calif.; his son Andrew Meach (Dagmar), of Windsor; his daughter, Jean Ann Fredrick, of Jacksonville, Fla.; his granddaughter Tiffany Burns (Chris), of Fort Collins; his great-grandson Hudson Andrew Burns, of Fort Collins; sisters Betty Hunter, of Craig, and Dolores Rogers (Bob), of Yampa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services were held Feb. 12, 2013, at the Catholic Church in Windsor and Feb. 15, 2013, at Journey at First Baptist Church in Craig. Burial will be at a later date in the Oak Creek Cemetery.
