Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Lyons Point,La. for JENEUS ABSHIRE,81, who died in the Lafayette General Hospital.Burial will be in the Abshire Cemetery in rural Kaplan.
Survivors include his widow, the former Alice Simon of Perry Point.
3 sons: Milton J. Abshire of Sunny Vale,CA., Allison J. Abshire of Crowley,La and Danes P. Abshire of Perry Point.
1 daughter: Mrs. Evelia Doucet of Crowley.
1 brother: Rom Abshire of Crowley.
3 sisters: Mrs. Emily Spears of Lake Charles, Mrs. Eva Gallien and Mrs. Alena Derouen of Hayes.
16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren
Mrs. Abshire was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion Post 15.
