Artie Robinson Stanley, 84, of Clintwood, passed away April 2, 2005.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elzie Stanley; two sons, Mavrick Stanley and Oliver Wayne Stanley.
Survivors include four sons, Robert Stanley of Georgia, Yancey Stanley of Georgia, special son, Earl Stanley of Coeburn and Gerald Stanley of Coeburn; nine daughters, Hattie June Hamilton of Coeburn, Stella Farris of Georgia, Sandra Hays of Georgia, Rita Hamilton of Coeburn, Cola Fletcher of Georgia, Tammy Fowler of Georgia; special daughters, Sherry Samples of Georgia, Mary Baker of Clintwood and Nancy Neece of Clintwood; one raised grandson, Sherman Allison of Georgia; 34 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Mullins Funeral Home chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 5 with Robert Cantrell officiating. Burial followed at the Rufus Stanley Cemetery, Route 2, Coeburn. Pallbearers were Jimmy Stanley, Marvin Allison, Robbie Stanley, Eddie Samples, Jason Fletcher and Estil Mullins. Honorary pallbearers were sons-in-law, Roger, Richard and Henry.
Mullins Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
