Doyle was born to the late Clyde and Molly (Pittman) Barclay, in Mount Belvieu, Texas, on December 27, 1930.
He was a Navy veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict, and retired from Texaco as a railroad engineer after 36 years of service. Doyle enjoyed hunting, gardening, ranching and traveling with his beloved wife, Vernadene.
Survivors include his wife Vernadene Gerriett Barclay, Groves. Sons and daughters in law, David D. and Susan Barclay and Danny and Maria Elena Barclay, grand daughters, Catherine, Elizabeth and Danielle Barclay, all of Fannett.
Interment: Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves, Texas
