MRS. SALLIE SHUPP, wife of Denton M. Shupp, died at her home on Potomac St., Williamsport, at 7 o'clock Wednesday evening, after a long and painful illness. Her affliction and death was caused by cancer of the stomach. She was aged 42 years and 4 months.
One son, Frankie, and two daughters, Alice and Irene survive her. She was a devoted member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, having joined it August 19, 1866, when Rev. J. W. Buckley was the pastor.
Interment was made in River View Cemetery, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. W. C. Griffith officiated assisted by Revs. Portch and Gaver.
Two brothers, William B., and Charles E. Kimble, and two sisters, Annie B., of that place, and Mrs. Martha J. Sisk, of Parkersbug, W. Va., also survive her.
