Doris Belden, 79, of Midland, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2010, in Midland. A rosary will be held at 7:00pm, Thursday, September 30, 2010 at the funeral home. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00am, Friday, October 1, 2010 at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Msgr. Larry Droll, officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Doris was born March 8, 1931 in Topeka, Kansas to Wilma (Bair) and Fred Fleming. She was raised in Lecompton, Kansas. She married Joe Belden on January 9, 1954 in Topeka.
Doris and Joe moved to Midland in 1961. She worked for Machen Contracting Inc as a bookkeeper for 15 years. Doris had many years of joy from her ("Share and Care") Group. She volunteered at Manor Park and was a member of the altar society at St. Ann's Catholic Church.
Survivors include husband, Joe Belden of Midland; son Matthew N. Belden and wife Cindy of Ballinger; daughter Janet Belden and husband Bryan Bristol of Richardson; daughter Susan Fishback and husband Benny of Lumberton, TX; son Patrick Belden and wife Janie of Atlanta, GA; daughter Cheryl White and husband Lee of Odessa; grandchildren Martha Belden, Joseph Belden, Shannon Belden, Justin Fishback, Adam Fishback, Neal Belden, Jason Nash and Shelby Edwards; sister Corrine Childs of Lenexa, KS; brother Robert Fleming and wife Martha of Derby, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
