Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years Martha (Shoup) Fleming, son, Mark (Deborah) Fleming; daughter, Julie (John) Hoppock; grandchildren, Chase (Jennifer) Hoppock of Derby, Cole Hoppock of Wichita and Camden Hoppock of Derby; great- grandchild Benjamin Hoppock; Step great grandchildren Kaitlyn, Cassie and Travis Walters of Derby, and many nieces and nephews.
Bob was born March 11, 1926, in Lyndon, Ks. He graduated from Lecompton High School in 1944, enlisted in the USAF and was a B-17 tail gunner, then attended Kansas University for 2-1/2 years. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Lecompton, Ks, a Past Master of the Mulvane Masonic Lodge #201 AF & AM and was a member of the Mulvane United Methodist Church. Bob retired from 37 years at Boeing. He enjoyed his grandkids, gardening, Masons, feeding birds and being at home on his deck.
Visitation with family 5-8pm Thursday, May 14th at Smith Mortuary in Derby. Funeral service 10am Friday, May 15th at Mulvane Methodist Church, 107 S. Central Ave. Mulvane, 67110. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida 32256 or online.
