Leroy Altman, 57, of 1640 Lakewood Road, died Friday at his residence. He was a retired supervisor with the City of Jacksonville and had lived in Jacksonville most of his life. He was a member of the West Park Baptist Church and a World War II Navy veteran. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nawatha Altman, his mother, Mrs. Sadie Altman; 4 sisters, Bertha Clark, Mamie Burns, Mildred Mizell, and Louise Pickett; 1 brother Benjamin Herbert Altman. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday in the Chapel of Giddens-Griffith Funeral Home, 729 S. Edgewood Ave. with the Rev. Paul E. Malone officiating. Pallbearers will be Ralph Hendricks, John Murray, Edwin Wilks, Larry Ratliff, Bill Hendricks and Durwood Westberry.
