Benjamin Altman, 52, engineer for the city water department, died suddenly of a heart attach late yesterday afternoon in the garden of his residence, Thirteenth and Penton Street, Grand Park. Mr. Altman was born in Baker County and had lived in Jacksonville for about 28 years. He was a member of the Grand Park Baptist Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Sadie Altman; 4 daughters, Mrs. Mildred Mizell, Mrs. Bertha Clark, Mrs. Mamie Burns and Mrs. Louise Pickett; 2 sons, LeRoy Altman and Herbie Altman; 2 brothers, D.L. Altman and Leonard Altman; 3 sisters, Mrs. Lilly Nealson and Miss Sally Altman, all of Jacksonville and Mrs. Thannie Wester, Lake City. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Seashole Funeral Parlors.
