Services for James P. Kelly, 831 Belgrade Ave., who died Tuesday at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Minneapolis, of complications following heart surgery, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Monsignor John Ward officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation begins after noon Thursday at Landkamer's Funeral Home with a prayer service at 8 p.m. The family requests no flowers but memorials to Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Schola Foundation.

He was born in Mankato May 2, 1933, and was a lifelong resident of Mankato. He married Mary Juberian Jan. 5, 1957. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving as a chaplain's assistant from 1956 to 58. He was a senior sales associate at J.C. Penney for 18 years. and a member of the Knights of Columbus North Mankato Council.

He is survived by his wife; his mother, Gertrude Kelly, Mankato; five daughters, Karen, Omaha, Neb., JoAnn, Barbara, Nancy and Julie, all at home; three sons, Thomas, David and Steven, all at home; and a sister Loraine O'Dowd, Big Lake. He was preceded in death by his father, George H. Kelly.
