The cemetery is located where Co. Rd. 371 "T"s into FTM 489.
Brown Chapel Church began as a log cabin school/church building on John L. Johnson's land about a mile from the present site. Gabe Brown donated the present site of the cemetery and church land. This cemetery has been used by both Anglos and African Americans.
