To the far right you can see DeeOnKee Dodd looking over the fence line at the Floyd Homestead Pet Cemetery. Over 30 beloved animals are buried here under the cedar trees on the land granted by the Peterâs Colony in 1846 to my 3x Great-Grandfather George Delaney Floyd. Passed down through the years and my childhood was here with my Papa Arthur and Granny Viola Floyd. My family is still here in 2018 on the last few acres of virgin land in modern South Dallas County. 172 years - Texas was 10 years old when land was granted.
