If driving south on Hwy-31 from Evergreen, or driving north on Hwy-31 from Brewton, turn east onto CR-6 at the township of Castleberry. Continue east on CR-6 for approximately 6 miles to the area of Cedar Creek. Landmarks along the way are the Holly Grove Methodist church on the right at CR-27, and its associated cemetery on the left. The next church along this route is the L-Pond church at CR-85. Continue another mile (more or less) and at the bottom of a long hill will be Cedar Creek. Continuing up the eastbound slope will be the Cedar Creek Baptist church and its associated cemetery on the right.
If leaving I-65, either northbound or southbound, exit I-65 at the Castleberry-Lenox ramp. Drive east on CR-6 for approximately 8 miles to Castleberry (Hwy-31). Cross Hwy-31 at the caution light and proceed through the township, across the rail lines and the long Murder creek bridge. Continue through the pineland wooded area for another 8 miles to the Cedar Creek Church area.
These county roads are all blacktop and well maintained, however, caution is advised as these are farm and forestry lands and logging trucks are apt to enter and exit the highway. The wooded areas are also well known for deer hunting and the animals are always a driving hazard through the pinelands.
