Donald L. Baker, 64, of Eaton, OH, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday morning, October 20, 2012, surrounded by his family. Don was a son of Herman & Martha (Mattix) Baker. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U.S. Marine Corp; and retired after 30 years from the State of Ohio, serving 10 years as a Park Ranger at Hueston Woods State Park and 20 years as a Safety Check Investigator with the PUCO and the Ohio State Patrol. He was a member of the First Brethren Church of Gratis and the D.A.V. Preceded in death by daughter Roberta Lynn Baker in 1991: father and step mother, Herman & Joyce Baker: mother and step father Martha & Ed Spivey: and brother James Baker.

Survived by wife Georgianna (Clark) Baker whom he married December 5, 1966: sons Russell LeRoy Baker and fiancé Lisa Baumgardner of Brookville, OH and Robert Lee Baker of Eaton: 8 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 25, 2012 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Pastor Robert Shannon presiding. Friends may call on the family from 1:00 - 3:00 PM and 5:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Following funeral services, a meal for family and friends will be served at the First Brethren Church of Gratis - at the corner of SR 725 and 122.
