PROCTOR, Betty J., age 85 of Walled Lake, was born on January 12, 1929 in Pontiac, Michigan to Julius and Lillian (nee: Woodworth) Nelson and died at her home October 28, 2014.
Betty is the beloved wife of 61 years to Frank (d. March 6, 2012), dear mother of Gary (Pam) Proctor, Rhonda (Mick) O'Grady and Douglas (Nancy) Proctor, dear grandmother of Jennifer (Ron), Jessica, Rebecca (Matthew), Lance (Dayna), Dustin and Brandon, great-grandmother of Drew, Joshua, Lillian, Gracee, Luna and Miles and sister of Claudia Tomsett, Julius Nelson and Jack Nelson.
Betty graduated from the Walled Lake Schools and was a member of the marching band and taught in the Walled Lake School District for 20 years as a first grade ParaPro and was a recipient of the Golden Apple Award by the Board of Education. Betty was a longtime member of the Walled Lake United Methodist Church and also a member of the Walled Lake Eastern Star.
Funeral from Lynch & Sons Funeral Home 340 N. Pontiac Tr., Walled Lake (3 Blks. S. of Maple Rd.) Friday 2pm (In-state 1pm). Interment Wixom Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday 3pm to 9pm. Memorials to Josephine Ford Cancer Center appreciated.
