FRANK WILLIAM PROCTOR, age 83 of Walled Lake, MI, was born on July 19, 1928 in Sidney, Iowa to Charles and Lottie Viola (nee: Jenkins) Proctor. He died March 6, 2012.

Mr. Proctor is the beloved husband of 61 years to Betty, loving father of Gary (Pam), Rhonda (Mic O'Grady) Waligore, and Douglas (Nancy) Proctor, dear grandfather of Jennifer (Ron), Jessica (Greg), Rebecca (Matthew), Lance, Dustin, Brandon, great-grandfather of Drew, Joshua, Lillian, and Gracee, and dear brother of Esther Armstrong.

Mr. Proctor and his family moved to Wixom from Iowa when he was in 8th grade. He attended Walled Lake Schools where he met his future wife Betty. After turning 17, he entered the military and was stationed at Wheeler Field in Hawaii where he worked as an aircraft mechanic with the 91st Fighter Squadron. After being discharged, he returned to Wixom and began dating Betty and they later married in December 1950. In 1951 they moved to Walled Lake where they raised their family and have lived ever since.

Mr. Proctor worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer for both the Burroughs Company and Williams International. He was a longtime member of the Walled Lake United Methodist Church where he was active as a Youth Leader, Sunday School teacher, and Men's Club Volunteer to name a few. He was a huge sports fan and loved to watch all the local Detroit and Michigan teams. Frank and Betty enjoyed their retirement and spent about 10 years traveling and taking cruises. Mr. Proctor was the center of his family, and he will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral from the Walled Lake United Methodist Church 313 East Northport Walled Lake (directly behind the funeral home) Friday 11:00 a.m. (In State 10:00 a.m.). Interment Wixom Cemetery. Friends may visit Lynch & Sons Funeral Home 340 Pontiac Trail Walled Lake (3 Blks. S. of Maple Rd.) Thursday 3:00-9:00 p.m. Memorials to the Walled Lake United Methodist Church or the Josephine Ford Cancer Center appreciated.
