Native American. Walker was a cousin of Capt. John. He was born at Albany Flat, Calaveras Co. CA. He had 3 brothers, Jeff, Jess and unknown.
His wife Susanna and he lived at Duck Bar on the Stanislaus River. They had one child named Sara who married a miner, Johnny Long. Johnny Long and Sara had a daughter also named Sara who married Frank Morales.
1900 census has Capt. Walker age 64 as widowed head living in Murphys. Farm laborer.
1910 census has him living in Dist. 3 aged 75 as a boarder in the home of Henry Wilson and with companion Mary Gatica and her son William living in same household. They lived next to Frank Morales and his wife Sarah Long who was a grandaughter of Susanna and Capt. Walker.
1920 Census has him living in Murphys aged 80 next door to Native Americans Jack and Mary.
Widowed; Age 105 yrs. Laborer. Burial recorded 05/09/1927. Widowed. Lived outside of Murphys on what later became Big Valley Subdivision. Was found dead in his cabin.
