She passed away Monday, July 2, 2012 at her home in Athens.
Thelma was born September 18, 1925 in Dallas, TX to William Clinton and Ella Drew Hawkins.
She was raised in Athens and attended Athens schools. Thelma was employed for Curtis Mathis, later known as Harvey's Industrial Company, where she retired. She loved to quilt, take care of her home, and work in her yard. Thelma was a loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Thelma is survived by sons: Joe Trammell and wife Karen of Henderson, Dennis Trammell of Athens, and Micheal Trammell and wife Candice of Brownsboro; daughters Theresa Lamb and husband Joey of Palestine, Peggy Allen of Athens; one brother, Charles Sanders of Athens; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joe Trammell, Dennis Trammell, Micheal Trammell, Joe Hanks, Danny Willbanks, & Jimmy Allen.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens.
