Obituary From "Ottumwa Courier," August 7, 1913:
Mrs. O.P. Overturf passed away August 1, 1913, at 2:45 after a brief illness of three days. The deceased was 70 years, one month and twenty-five days of age at the time of her death.
Ann Hougland was born in Fairfield, Iowa, June 6, 1843, and grew to womanhood at that place. On May 18, 1862, she was united in marriage to O.P. Overturf. To this union was born one child, which died in infancy.
The deceased was converted early in life and was a charter member of the Competine Baptist Church, remaining a member of that church until the time of her death. She leaves to mourn her death her husband, one sister, two brothers, three nieces, one nephew and a host of friends.–Contributed.
