Actor, Singer. He was best known for playing the character roles of cowhands, rustlers, posse riders, soldiers, henchmen, barflies, deputies, musicians, singers, rangers, calvary sergeants, party guests, and townsmen, usually in classic western films, but some or most were uncredited. His promising acting career was tragically cut short when he was seriously injured in an automobile accident after his brakes failed and his car collided with a passenger train after rolling onto the Southern Pacific Railway Tracks at Sherman Way and Laurel Canyon Boulevard in North Hollywood, California. He was taken to Van Nuys Receiving Hospital in Van Nuys, California, where he passed away from his injuries on May 14, 1949, at the age of 49.
