Carolyn (Smith) Ragsdale, 73, wife of Lane Ragsdale, went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills.
Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Wilton and Sadie Lee (Young) Smith.
Mrs. Ragsdale was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Spartanburg.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 54 years, are a son, David Charles Ragsdale of Spartanburg; a daughter, Susan (Ragsdale) King of Charleston; a brother, Wallace Lallen Smith of Liberty; a sister, Montez Smith Whitfied of Picayune, MS; and a granddaughter, Kelly King Gainey of Simpsonville.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ragsdale was predeceased by a brother, Charles Smith and by two special friends, Louie Phillips and Bob Patton. She is now in heaven and is no longer suffering. "Praise God."
Funeral services were 3:30 PM Tuesday, June 12, 2012 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley. Burial followed in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley.
The family received friends 2:30-3:15 PM Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Memorials could be made to the Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills, P.O. Box 127, Landrum, SC 29356.
