Services for Nola Leopard Sanders, 85, Athens are scheduled for 10:00 A M Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Chapel with Rev. Don Chapin officiating. Burial will follow in Ash Cemetery.
Nola died June 8, 2012 in Athens.
She was born November 15, 1926 in Turkey Creek, Tri Cities, Henderson County, Texas to the late John Henry and Nancy Josephine Pierce Leopard.
Nola had been a resident of Henderson County all her life. She was a member of Ash Baptist Church. Nola had been a seamstress most of her life and she loved to fish. She was sexton of Ash Cemetery over 50 years.
Nola was preceded in death by her husband Fulton Sanders, son Donnie Sanders, brothers Vernon Leopard, Charley Leopard, Lewis Leopard, Eldon Leopard, sisters Ila Parr, Lucille Brown, Clara Trammell, Dora Baxter, Mary McGee.
Survivors include son Jerry Sanders, Athens, daughters Gloria Donehoo, Wink, Anita Cook, Athens, Martha Withrow, Florida, brother Jack Leopard, California, grandchildren John Sanders, Matt Sanders, Wade Cook, James Sanders, Lori Warren, Crystal Withrow, Susan Withrow, Kathryn Sanders, Kim Sanders and Kevin Sanders, numerous great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Sanders, Matt Sanders, Wade Cook, Tony Cook, Carey Marton, James Sanders.
