On Nov. 23, 1939, he married Verda Ryckman in Eddyville, Neb. She preceded him in death.
Survivors are: children and their spouses, Delores and John Prockish of Fountain, Kathy and Gilbert Little of Westminster, Calif., Ginny and Lloyd Gordon of Colorado Springs and Larry and Donna Chandler of Aurora; grandchildren, Monty Baruth, Sandra Mason, Sherri Dodds, Cindy Griese, Eric Baruth, Tom Baruth, Jami Frese, Philip Little, Mark Gordon, Kim Gordon, Brandon Gordon, Angela Chandler and Greg Chandler; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Clyde of Mesa, Ariz., and Edsel of Smithfield, Neb.
Don spent most of his life in Lexington, Neb., but retired in Colorado Springs in 2002. He was in partnership with Oden L. Delp in the Delp-Chandler Auto Dealership located at 114 W. Sixth St. in Lexington, which they started in 1954.
Don attended school in Overton, Neb., and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He loved the car business and the challenge of troubleshooting any type of electronics.
Don was always looking at the bright side of things and loved his family dearly. He was a member of Friendship Assembly of God Church in Colorado Springs.
In addition to his wife of 70 years, he was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and three brothers.
Burial was in the Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO.
