Born Hezekiah Hamilton Daniell to Margaret Euphemia Jacobs Daniell and Allen Hansford Daniell. Through a clerical error at a State of Arkansas records office his name was changed to Hezzie Carr Daniels. Most folks called him "Mr. Hezzie". Hezzie married Annie Elizabeth Shook on September 15, 1928. They had five children: Annie Odessia, Allen Hansford, Hezzie Daulton, Lathan Bernard, and Crosby Eugene. They had 14 grandchildren in all - 2 who passed away in infancy and 12 who grew up being loved by these two amazing grandparents -- Terri Ann, Donnie Mack, Ted Allen, Susan Diane, Anthony Bryant, Janet, Michael, Troy, Ann Michelle, Tammy, Greg, and Melissa.

Hezzie worked in the lumber mills and was also a farmer. He was a devout Christian man who loved the Lord. He loved music - and could often be found playing the fiddle and tapping his foot. Hezzie was known far and wide for growing the best watermelons.
