Odessia Daniels-Ethridge, 89 of Fordyce passed away December 24, 2020 in the Dallas County Medical Center in Fordyce.
She was born in Ellisville, Arkansas on January 10, 1931.
Odessia worked as a bookkeeper for four automobile dealerships and Benton Furniture Company. She is best known for Friendly Foods grocery store that she and her husband owned for 10 years.
She was a member of Beech Grove Missionary Baptist Church and Fidelis Sunday School Class.
Odessia was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, J.B. Ethridge; her parents, Hezzie Daniels and Annie Daniels; and one brother, Daulton Daniels.
She is survived by one son, Tony Ethridge of Sherwood, Arkansas; one grandson, Evan Ethridge of Bentonville, Arkansas; three brothers: Allen Daniels and wife Ann of Poteau, Oklahoma, Bernard Daniels and wife Jeanie of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Gene Daniels and wife Sue of Aurora, Colorado; and many nieces and nephews.
The graveside services will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Chambersville with Rev. Nathan Petty officiating.
In lieu of Flowers, donations to Beech Grove Missionary Baptist Church in her name would be greatly appreciated.
