DEATH OF MRS. LATTIMORE – Laura D. Lattimore, widow of Wm. M. Lattimore, whose death occurred in 1881, died Saturday night at 7 o’clock at her home in Trafalgar.
Deceased was born October 11, 1824 [stone shows Aug] in Georgia, her maiden name being Herrington. She was married to Mr. Lattimore and became a resident of Mississippi, moving from that state to this county in 1861. After residing here ten years the family moved to Independence, Kansas, where they remained ten years, then removing to Johnson county again.
Deceased was the mother of ten children, only three of whom survive. These are Mrs. John D. Ragsdale, of Hensley township, wife of Commissioner Ragsdale, William Lattimore, of the Union neighborhood, and Mrs. Thomas Cole, now of Indianapolis.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at 11 o’clock at First Mt. Pleasant, conducted by George Ragsdale. Interment at First Mt. Pleasant.
