LATTIM0RE RITES SET Funeral At Flinn Parlors On Thursday Morning; Interment Here Service will be conducted at 10:30 o'clock Thursday morning at the Flinn mortuary for William Dupree Lattimore, who passed away at 5:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at the home of his son, Smith Lattimore, in the Union community. He was 85 years of age. Friends are invited to call at the home of Mrs. Mabel TiLson, 116 West Adams street, in Franklin at any time after 7 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. G. F. Powers, pastor of the Nineveh Christian church, will have charge of the funeral, and interment will follow in Greenlawn cemetery. Mr. Lattimore, the 10th child of Laura Dole Arrington and William Morton Lattimore, was born December 14, 1859, at Montgomery, Miss. When one year old he was brought to Vernon in Jennings county, later moving with his family to Johnson county. When he was still a youth, his family decided to go to Independence. Kas., and they made the trip by covered wagon. Later, due to illness, the family again returned to Johnson county, where Mr. Lattimore had since made his home. He was a member of the Union Christian church and the Masonic lodge, and during his active years he belonged to the Knights cf Pythias lodge. On November 28, 1883, he was united in marriage to Sarah Harbourt, who died November 26, 1918: For 27 years Mr. Lattimore had been faithful to her memory. Five children were born to the union. Mrs. Myrtle Elmore, of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Mabel Tilson and Smith Lattimore. of Franklin; Harry Lattimore, of Indianapolis, and Ray Lattimore, of Zionsville. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, Mrs. Helen Rush, of Crawfordsville; Norma Elmore, of Venezuela, South America; William Tilson, in the armed forces in Belgium; Gerald and Lawrence Lattimore, of Indianapolis; Mrs. Ruth Sendek, of Greenwood; Billy, John D. and Laura Jean Lattimore, of Franklin; Mrs. Mary Maggart, of Indianapolis, and Patsy Ann Lattimore, of Zionsville, and six great-grandchildren. The best tribute that can be paid to his long life is that never was his work or time so important to himself but that he would stop everything to go to the assistance of his family and friends in every way possible.
